Vanier Park

Vancouver, BC, 2010

In 2010 Luke Fulham, Chester Jones, Braeden Barnard, Dylan King and Corey Clarke worked together to build The Vanier Park Dirt Jump Park for the city of Vancouver. The crew operated under he business name Earthramp Bikepark, Created by Luke Fulgham.

Earthramps broke ground on the Park at the beginning of July and had the whole park running great by early fall, in time to get lots of riding in before the first wet season.

The Earthramps Crew maintained the Park for free for the first two years and had many awesome sessions there, but due to the nature of the sport and the massive amount of free work that is required to maintain public dirt jumps, the park slowly got neglected, damaged and altered over time.

This was the first public dirt jump build that the crew did, and it became clear that without proper on-going maintenance, public dirt jump parks are a flawed concept. Just as with any other type of landscape or park, dependable maintenance is required and timing is everything in order to have the longest possible riding season.
